First Official Vex Eclipse Release?

David Carver has revealed in a blog that he is encouraging the Vex team to release a Vex 0.5 in the next couple of months. He also states that he would like to see inline rendering of images implemented in Vex in the future.

Vex is a Visual Editor for XML that hides the XML tags from the user, to provide a word processor like interface. Vex uses CSS to style the text in the editor, so formatting should be consistent. For this reason, Carver perceives it as having an edge over Microsoft Office and Open Office: “there is no enforcement of style, and it gets messed up easily.”

The latest version of Vex can be installed from the Hudson build machine.
