Ruby Packaging Standard

First Draft of Ruby Package Conventions

A first draft of the Ruby Packaging Standard is now online.

This document aims to specify a common structure for a Ruby package distributed as source; to document common ways to structure Ruby packages, and to draw attention to some commonly-used anti-patterns.

This document discusses naming conventions for projects, extensions and executables, and where certain segments of a project should be located. Please see the document for more information.
