Eclipse 3.6 M6

Feature Based Launching

Ankur Sharma has blogged about the feature based launching available in Eclipse 3.6 M6.

An Eclipse application can be launched by selecting the feature to launch with. Sharma foresees this being useful, as plugins are usually grouped by features. Developers can also employ the "Use feature from workspace if available" checkbox to use the workspace feature to find the desired plugins; and the “Add Required Features" checkbox to only add features to the launch configuration that are named as dependent features in feature manifest.
