Eclipse-based Wolfram Workbench 2 Available

jt

Wolfram Research has announced the release of their Wolfram Workbench 2 tool for the development of Mathematica, Wolfram Alpha and other Wolfram technologies. It features a source editor with syntax colouring, code folding, and error reporting; and integrated debugging, profiling and unit testing.

Version 2 introduces the ability to create documentation for Mathematica applications. The Mathematica editor automatically opens everytime a project notebook is opened, allowing you to load code and start working on it; project stylesheets and palettes are now available to the notebook front end. A new tree difference tool has been introduced to allow for notebook comparison.

Built-in tools for working with webMathematica 3 are now included, as is Eclipse version 3.5.

Wolfram Workbench 2 requires Mathematica 6 or higher and is available for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux and is priced at £95 per download.
