Develop OSGi Bundles and Applications Within Eclipse

Jessica Thornsby

New, Bnd-based Eclipse development tool for building OSGi bundles and apps.

Bndtools is a new, Eclipse-based development environment for OSGi bundles and applications. It is based on the Bnd bundle tool.

Bndtools aims to encourage OSGi best practices, to integrate with offline build tools and users of other IDEs, and to produce accurate bundle metadata to maximise re-usability. It features a rich forms-style editor for Bnd descriptor files, and pluggable repositories for managing your OSGi bundles. It also integrates Bnd into Eclipse incremental builds, so when a Java class is compiled by JDT, Bnd will produce a bundle.

It can be downloaded from github.
