Control Cloud Services with Fog Cloud Computing Library

Jessica Thornsby

Version 0.1.8 of Fog is now available.

Fog is a Ruby gem cloud computing library for controlling both server cloud services and storage based services. It also supports Amazon ELB and SimpleDB. Fog uses models to abstract the common parts between cloud services, with the aim of facilitating an easier switching between these different services. When it comes to handling features exclusive to a particular service, Fog has a ‘Request’ function. Meanwhile, Mocking provides an in-memory representation of the state of the cloud resources as the developer makes Requests.

Fog can be downloaded from github now.
