Following the announcement that a prototype of the Eclipse RAP protocol is now available, Holger Staudacher has developed a Cocoa Touch client for RAP using the iAd JavaScript library and released a video of the client in action. The client shows a bundle containing the iAd JavaScript library, which brings Cocoa Touch widgets into the browser. The iAd bundle starts a simple RAP application, which is accessed with Safari. “The result is just awesome. You can write your UI completely with SWT on the server side and access it with the iPad/iPhone/iPod or with just a webkit based browser,” writes Holger Staudacher. The video can be viewed below.
