Bug Fixes for Grails 1.2.5
Grails version 1.2.5 is out now! This is a bug fix release, which rectifies problems with the reference documentation, and the “pluginManager” bean not appearing in the application context when integration testing. A full list of bugs fixed, is available at the Release Notes.
Apache CFX 2.30 is JAX-WS 2.2 and JAX-RS 1.1 Compliant
Apache CXF version 2.3.0 has been released.
Apache CXF is a services framework for building and developing services using frontend programming APIs, such as JAX-WS and JAX-RS. It supports a variety of web service standards including SOAP, the WSI Basic Profile and WSDL. This release is compliant with JAX-WS 2.2 and JAX-RS 1.1, and supports the SOAP/JMS specification. It offers schema Validation support for Aegis Databinding support, if Woodstox 4 is used for the Stax parser.
Bamboo 2.7 Enters Public Beta
The public beta of Bamboo 2.7 is now available to download.
This beta gives developers the options of breaking up and running tests in parallel within a single Plan, and running multiple builds of a single Plan concurrently. Bamboo 2.7 also gets a new build structure: a Plan now consists of multiple stages, each representing a stage in the release process. Each stage consists of one or more jobs, defining the build configuration and artifacts that were previously part of the Plan. Mercurial (Hg) is also supported.
Send and Receive JMS Messages Inside Grails
Grails JMS Plugin has reached 1.0. This plugin facilitates sending and receiving JMS messages inside a Grails application. It is built on top of Spring’s JMS support, and uses JmsTemplate to send messages.
