Version 0.6.2 of Apache Cassandra is out now.

This is primarily a bug fix release, but it does add the option to turn off Hinted Handoff and updates the default JVM GC options. Issues with the latency histograms to CFSMBean and the tombstone handling have also been rectified. Please see the Changelog for a full list of bug fixes.
