MessagePack Updates

Binary-Based Object Serialisation Library for Ruby

Jessica Thornsby

The binary-based object serialisation protocol and library MessagePack has been updated to add extra support for Ruby. Issues with the C++ compatibility have also been rectified.

The documents for the Ruby implementation are available at GitHub. The project website cites the distributed key-value store kumofs, as a real-life example of the object serialisation library in action.

While Ruby is the focus, there are also MessagePack libraries for Python, Perl, C/C++, Haskell, and Lua.
