ASF Receive Subpoena For Harmony Documents

The Apache Software Foundation have received a subpoena from Oracle’s American attorneys to produce documents relating to Android’s use of Apache Harmony code, and the Foundation’s attempt to secure a license to the Java SE Technology Compatibility Kit. The Foundation has until May 13th, 2011 to produce the required materials. In response, Apache have posted “(we) will, of course, be complying with all court requirements. As an open development group the majority of our documents are already publicly available.”

GWT 2.3 With HTML5 Support

Version 2.3 of Google Web Toolkit (GWT) and Google Plugin for Eclipse (GPE) have been released. This release adds GWT SDK support for HTML5 local storage, and GPE 2.3 adds the ability to browse and add Google APIs directly from Eclipse, and a UI for importing Google-hosted projects into Eclipse. Apache Qpid 0.10 Released

Version 0.10 of Apache Qpid cross-platform enterprise messaging solution, has been announced. Qpid implements the Advanced Message Queuing Protocol and provides brokers written in Java, alongside clients for Java JMS, .Net and Ruby. In this release, the Java JMS client is available via Maven, and message priority is supported. Configurable queue depth alerts and object creation and deletion via management, have also been introduced.

Gant 1.9.5 Released Following Regression

Gant 1.9.5 has been released, following the discovery of a regression in the recently-released Gant 1.9.4.
