New Features

Apple Update iwork.com

Jessica Thornsby

Apple have added several new features to its public beta of iwork.com, a platform where users could upload their iWork files for viewing, commentary, and downloading by others. Crucially, others cannot edit the documents, ala Google Docs.

The new iwork features include a “public link” option. Public access can be removed by turning off the public link in the Document Info pane. Previously, a password or the document itself dad to be sent to a specific email address. However, anyone who accesses the document through a public link currently cannot comment on said document, meaning that if you require feedback, a password or email address is still necessary.

The Shared Documents and Sign In pages have also been updated, and support for iPhone, iPod Touch and Safari on the iPad, has been added.
