jt

Middleware vendor WSO2 have released Cloud Identity, a collection of integrated services for accessing existing Software as a Service (SaaS) and cloud application providers, in addition to internal systems.

WSO2 Cloud Identity offers a single sign-on option for the Cloud and allows users to re-deploy on their own hosted systems, using the WSO2 Identity Server. WSO2 Cloud Identity enables administrators to provide authentication using electronic IDs based on open standards such as OpenID and Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) 2.0. OASIS eXtensible Access Control Markup Language 2.0 is also supported, and WSO2 aim to support OAuth in the future.

Major systems such as Google Apps, Salesforce, Drupal, Apache HTTPD and Apache Tomcat are all supported, and synchronisation with existing internal systems is planned for future releases.

A free trial of WSO2 Identity Cloud Beta is available to download.
