The first milestone of Apache Geronimo 3.0 is out now!

The 3.0 server is targeted as an implementation of the Java EE 6 Web Profile. This milestone supports portions of Sun's Java Enterprise Edition 6.0 specification, such as Servlet 3.0, EL 2.2 and JSF 2.0. This release also re-enables the client container and migrates the existing Geronimo gshell commands to Karaf-based shell. It also supports multiple level navigation tree in the Geronimo web console.

Apache Geronimo 3.0 will eventually support the OSGi-based Aries application programming mode.
