Amazon S3 and Amazon SNS Integration

According to the Amazon Web Services blog (AWS,) certain parts of AWS will now start to publish messages to an SNS topic, in order to notify an application when a certain type of event has occurred. The first integration, is with Amazon S3's Reduced Redundancy Storage option.

Developers can now configure S3 buckets to publish a message to an SNS topic, when S3 detects that it has lost an object which was stored in a bucket using the RSS option. The notification will be stored on the faces bucket and routed to a topic. The team are planning to wire additional events to S3 in the future.
