HTTPS Protocols

Amazon CloudFront AWS Adds HTTPS Support

Jessica Thornsby

Amazon have announced that the Amazon CloudFront AWS content delivery network can now deliver content over an HTTPS connection. This allows users to deliver content over an encrypted connection, and to avoid security warnings some browsers throw when viewing a mix of HTTP and HTTPS content.

Amazon CloudFront will accept requests over both the HTTP and the HTTPS protocols by default, but it can also be configured to make HTTPS a requirement for all requests for your content, and block requests made over the regular HTTP protocol.

Pricing for HTTPS requests start at $0.01 per 10,000 requests.
