Admiration for Recent NetBeans and JavaFX Releases

The man widely credited as the creator of Java, James Gosling, has posted a blog praising the updates to Java technologies now sponsored by Oracle.

He admires NetBeans 6.9’s OSGi support and platform improvements, and refers to the project as “getting pretty sweet,” before moving onto the recently released JavaFX 1.3. “The performance boosts are wonderful; as are all the new UI components and the tooling in NetBeans to support it,” he writes.

Gosling recently left Sun and Oracle, following the acquisition.
