Mozilla Survey
90% of Developers Questioned Use JavaScript
Mozilla have released the results of a survey conducted in November 2009, where they collected data from 5,054 developers spread across 119 countries, on their development habits.
Of the 5,054 developers Mozilla questioned, just under 30% said they used Java, with 90% reporting they used JavaScript. Ruby usage came in at just over 10%.
When it comes to development tools, Eclipse polled high; almost 30% of those polled said they used Eclipse.
Elsewhere, developers praised Firefox for its add-ons. Almost 90% of those surveyed cited using Firefox's add-ons in their Web development efforts.
